Many girls and women in this region are affected by ‘period poverty’ that means they cannot afford period products such as pads, tampons or inner wears. They resort to using rags during this period, which can cause infections or other medical implications. Students missing days from school to avoid shame and embarrassment as they cannot even participate in social activities.
CADEO endeavors to distribute period products: Reusable and ordinary sanitary towels, inner wears to needy girls across the county to keep them in school.
Additionally, we also offer Menstrual Hygiene talks to adolescent girls in and out of school.
